Strengthening access to protective education and supporting evidence based humanitarian assistance in Libya

Libya Humanitarian Action
September 2023
August 2024

This 24-month project addresses the protection needs of 7,275 vulnerable girls and boys in Derna and Benghazi through the provision of child protection assistance and the improvement of quality education within a context of evidence-based humanitarian assistance in Libya. This will be done through recreational activities; group PSS; school kits and non-formal education kits; case management services integrated with a referral system; capacity-building of 120 teachers; community awareness-raising sessions; capacity-building for 80 members of local CSOs on PSS and CP and knowledge-sharing workshops to 80 members of local authorities. To improve humanitarian response planning efforts through quality needs assessments, REACH will ensure that critical information on the humanitarian situation in Libya is provided through an Area Level Assessment benefiting 98 humanitarian organizations.
