Strengthening Local Capacities for Resilience and Recovery Project – Murzuq & Ghat

This 4-month project seeks to strengthen social cohesion and community resilience in conflict-affected areas by improving access to sustainable income generating activities and livelihoods for 60 direct beneficiaries in Ghat and Murzuq, in southern Libya. This will be done by implementing a Rapid Livelihoods Assessment in the targeted areas, providing a climate-smart business capacity building/business incubation program, provide cash assistance or assets replacement to 30 farmers, and the grants disbursement to 30 start-ups in the agricultural sector.
The project will foster community stabilization and access to jobs and essential services, especially among IDP and returnee communities according to prioritization of vulnerabilities’ criteria, particularly in the post-conflict scenario of Murzuq. Moreover, Acted will conduct 2 pilot projects in circular and solidarity economy.
