Provision of emergency assistance to earthquake affected communities in Türkiye

As part of its emergency response to the February 2023 earthquakes in Türkiye, Acted provided a multisectoral, life-saving assistance towards the coverage of emergency shelter, non-food items, sanitation, hygiene, and site coordination needs of earthquake-affected communities in Hatay, Adıyaman and Kahramanmaraş provinces, reaching a total of 63,970 unique beneficiaries. Acted notably distributed 235 tents and 2,158 shelter kits to provide safe and dignified shelter solutions, as well as 8,133 kitchen kits and 5,320 hygiene and baby kits to improve material living conditions. Acted also installed 236 emergency latrine units and 209 emergency shower units. Lastly, Acted provided temporary settlement support to earthquake-affected communities residing across 241 informal displacement sites.
