Humanitarian coordination & provision of CCCM-integrated responses to displacement-affected populations in South Sudan

South Sudan Humanitarian Action
July 2023
June 2024

Under this 12 month intervention, Acted, in partnership with REACH and HDC will conduct activities across several locations in Central Equatoria (Juba), Jonglei (Bor) and in several locations yet to be determined based on need through Acted’s Emergency Response Unit.
This intervention will reach a total number of 144,564 (76,287 women and girls, 68,277 men and boys) unique people, including 139,558 (73,784 women and girls, 65,774 men and boys) internally displaced. The goal of the project is to address the needs of displacement affected populations in South-Sudan while fostering their self-reliance and ability to respond to future shocks. In parallel to this, this project will also aim to address the influx of returnees crossing the border into South Sudan from Sudan.
This project aims to sustain Acted’s existing operations in Renk whilst allowing for the deployment of the emergency response unit to a second location in Greater Bahr el Ghazal (or other areas of priority) to further manage an additional transit and/or reception centre.
