Celebrating 25 years of ACTED in 2018

2018 marked ACTED’s 25th anniversary. ACTED was founded in Afghanistan, a country rich in natural wonder and culture, but affected by a protracted, forgotten crisis.

ACTED’s history is one of a will to act, and to act differently: by going where others won’t, by understanding all that territories and their populations can bring, and by investing in local knowledge, skills and potential.

25 years later, we are still committed to going the last mile and supporting the most vulnerable in 38 countries. As we look back at ACTED in 2018, we celebrate the impact of all our staff and partners on the lives of millions of people around the world.
