ACTED opened its mission in Mali in April 2012 in response to the complex crisis facing the country. Due to the structural and cyclical challenges,  need for a holistic response was crucial to  link emergency and development. As part of its multi-sectoral programming in the Menaka region, ACTED Mali has produced two micro-reports to illustrate the activities being implemented and the assistance provided to beneficiaries with the support of OFDA, USAID, Food For Peace and the French Embassy. Through the implementation of Economic Recovery and Food Security activities, these two videos illustrate the impact of activities to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable populations, contribute to the rehabilitation of infrastructure destroyed during the conflict, and to revitalize the economy of northern Mali.
