Circular economy and entrepreneurship support project in the Manouba Governorate, Tunisia

Tunisia Circular Economy
January 2024
March 2025

The fundamental objective of this project is to catalyze the development of the circular economy in the governorate of Manouba, Tunisia, by adopting a methodical and inclusive approach. It plans to carry out an in-depth analysis of the key sectors driving the circular economy in order to identify the levers and obstacles specific to this region. Through various awareness-raising initiatives such as information sessions and mobilization activities, the project aims to engage up to around 250 people on the crucial issues of the circular economy (notably, reducing waste production, the sharing economy, repairing/maintaining material use, reusing/redistributing products, improving recycling systems, supporting regenerative agriculture, improving consumer awareness, using renewable materials as raw materials for products).

A central element of this approach is the organization of a hackathon aimed at stimulating creativity and entrepreneurship in the field of the circular economy. This initiative represents a crucial training and networking opportunity for participants. At the end of the event, two promising projects will be selected to receive financial support and coaching to bring their circular economy initiatives to fruition and foster the emergence of a more sustainable and inclusive economy in Manouba.
