Capacity-Building of Civil-Society Organisations for Better Conservation in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan Strengthening Institutions and Civil Society
May 2023
March 2025

Within this project, Acted promotes and cultivates the independence of CSOs by providing support and enhancing their operational and technical capabilities to ensure a conservation action in Uzbekistan. This approach aims to empower CSOs to operate autonomously and to replicate their successful initiatives in the future. In addition, this action supports CSOs in advocating for their needs and in allowing them to better engage with governmental bodies and environmental institutions on a national scale. Furthermore, the project aims to develop the understanding of the CSOs on conservation outcomes and to align their work with biodiversity conservation through targeted operational and technical capacity-building training.
