As of September 12, 2023, an estimated 7,000 people are already missing and 20,000 displaced in the affected areas of Benghazi, Al-Jabal Al-Akhder, Al-Marj, Batah, Bayada, Albayda, Shahat and Sousse. In Derna, an estimated 11,300 people died and 1,270 were injured. Unfortunately, these figures are set to rise rapidly. The aim of this project is therefore to provide direct aid to the affected populations of Derna, both in terms of water and basic necessities, and in terms of the longer-term reconstruction of the city.
