Through this 36-months Action, ACTED will support a total of 17,475 direct beneficiaries through the support provided to MSMEs and CBDS across specific areas in up to 10 provinces divided in 5 regions of operations: 1) North-eastern region (Badakhshan (including the remote Wakhan corridor) and Nuristan), 2) North-western region (Balkh, Faryab, Samangan and Jawzjan), 3) Central region (Kabul and Bamiyan), 4) Western region (Herat), and 5) Southern region (Kandahar). This support will be provided through VT and business development training, establishment of women’s networks, support to craftsmanship MSMEs through block grants and loans. Approximately 122,325 individuals in Afghanistan will benefit from essential business development support to small businesses and livelihood, strengthened artisan value chains, including job creation, increased craft production, international visibility and have access to financial products.
