STREAM in Tajikistan aims to improve regional water resources management in the vulnerable regions of the Ferghana Valley by supporting the development of water accounting systems, building capacities of local actors, and facilitating meetings for integrated water resources management.

STREAM Initiative in Tajikistan is implemented based on the following pillars:

 

Pillar l: Evidence-based plannnig

Targeted watershed level context, NRM and climate change analysis, stakeholder mobilisation and road map development with local actors and national governments.

 

Pillar ll: Climate smart NRM practices

Provision of capacity building training, technical expertise and supports (secondment, equipment, etc.) and small grand schemes for stakeholders.

 

Pillar lll: Infrastructure and dialogue

Focused investment in infrastucture rehabilitation and accompanying water accouting systems and information management approaces to facilitate regional dialogue.
