Emergency response in Water, Hygiene and Sanitation to support communities affected by displacement in the Diffa region

Niger Humanitarian Action
July 2024
June 2025

This 12-month project funded by the CDCS aims to provide an emergency response in Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH) to vulnerable local and displaced populations in the N'Gourti department and Toumour commune, by strengthening access to safe drinking water (construction/rehabilitation of water points), improving access to sanitation services (installation of shared family latrines, construction of a waste management area) and promoting good hygiene practices to ensure the sustainability of interventions. This project will meet domestic EHA needs to improve household living conditions, while reducing health risks in the Diffa region.
