This 24-month project will take place in the Rohingya refugee camps of Kutupalong Balukhali Expansion Site in Ukhiya and the Teknaf camp sites in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar. These camps are known for their susceptibility to fire accidents due to the use of flammable materials in construction.
The main objective of the project was to implement an integrated Disaster Preparedness and Response program, aiming to enhance the protection environment for both the refugees and the host community as well as developing effective disaster preparedness and response initiatives, specifically addressing fire-related accidents.
A total of 20,130 individuals, comprising both refugees and host community members, will benefit from this program.
