In this six-month project funded by UNICEF, ACTED will rehabilitate and equip Novodmytrivka Kindergarten (Kherson Oblast) to create a operational, safe learning and shelter space for students and teachers of Novodmytrivka school during air alerts. Acted will conduct structural repairs, upgrading electrical and lighting systems, and installing heating, ventilation, and water supply systems to ensure the space is safe and functional during emergencies. The project will also include the creation of modern sanitary facilities to meet hygiene requirements, and the completion of interior and exterior finishing works to provide a safe, comfortable space for students and staff. This project, part of a broader UNICEF programme in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, aims to provide 300 children with access to formal or non-formal education, including early learning, in a safe and enabling environment.
