Through this 24-month intervention, Acted Yemen aims to provide an enhanced response to most critical water and sanitation needs of 265,500 individuals across North (Al Jawf and Sa'adah governorates) and South (Al Dhalee and Marib governorates). Across both hubs, Acted will install/upgrade/rehabilitate:
i) gender sensitive WASH facilities in a total of 11 Health Facilities (HFs),
ii) 9 community-level water supply assets and 70 household-level rainwater harvesting systems (only in Al Dhalee governorate),
iii) 375 latrines (including 300 household-level and 75 communal in Al Dhalee governorate. Additionally, Acted will distribute 4,000 hygiene kits and will conduct hygiene awareness sessions alongside accordingly for cholera outbreak prevention and mitigation.
