Through this Intervention, Acted will enhance the living conditions for 170 Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians by providing short-term employment opportunities to reduce soil erosion in the KTD watershed areas, and to conduct plantation activities at the Ministry of Agriculture’s (MoA) nurseries and afforestation sites in the middle and northern governorates. This will be achieved by reducing soil erosion in the watershed areas using nature-based solutions and conducting afforestation works through the Cash-for-Work approach to improve living conditions for Jordanians and Syrians. In addition to conduct afforestation activities in Kufranjeh/Wadi Rajeb afforestation site and implement the planting activities within the selected nurseries, which include creating soil mixtures commences with the sifting of soil to remove impurities, followed by blending it with peat moss and sand.
