Next-Gen Filipino Leaders for a Zero Exclusion World

Philippines Strengthening Institutions and Civil Society
November 2023
November 2024

This 12 month project, funded by the Swiss Embassy in Manila, has the overall objective of empowering the next generation of Filipino youth leaders from the disability community to uphold persons with disability’ rights in the Philippines. Implemented in partnership with our partner Bigay Buhay Multipurpose Cooperative (BBMC) and targeting the National Capital Region, the project will provide leadership training to 12 youth leaders, who are persons with disability, to act as the next generation of advocates. Learnings between Manila and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) will be encouraged through a knowledge sharing event. Finally, youth leaders will be supported to put their learnings into practice through peer sharing sessions.
