Emergency WASH Response for Typhoon Pepito-Affected Areas

Philippines Humanitarian Action
December 2024
March 2025

This 3-months project aims to ensure that affected populations have safe access to quality water, appropriate sanitation, and reliable WASH services at both household and institutional levels. This will be achieved through 5 outputs; The first output will improve sanitation access for at-risk households through toilet repairs, desludging, and technical support. The second output will ensure equitable access to safe and sufficient water by providing water kits, repairing community water systems, and building local capacity. The third output will enhance WASH services in schools and healthcare facilities through repairs, training, and hygiene promotion. The fourth output will promote safe hygiene practices with culturally sensitive interventions and monitoring mechanisms. Finally, the fifth output will strengthen local and national WASH systems by integrating risk preparedness into contingency plans and enhancing assessment frameworks.
