The 22 month project which will be implemented in BML Governorate will target 15 SMEs/Coops, prioritising those SMEs with innovative solutions to replace expensive imports of basic goods and/or produce from waste produced by LLR and their ECO hubs (through reusing, refurbishing, recycling, repurposing, upcycling), focus on job ceation. The SMEs will receive business plan development support and trainings-based n results of 3ZERO Assessment Tool. 58 individuals will also receive training on repair of white goods and be placed in internships. Finally, 70 vulnerable HHs will be supported through circular approaches, focusing on mushroom growing and azolla production with beneficiaries’ toolkits for the production. Acted will also organise a national conference on Circular Economy and produce a research paper on working conditions within the waste sector.
