Humanitarian Relief for Lebanon

Lebanon is facing one of its most severe humanitarian crises in recent years.

Since 4 March 2026, renewed violence and instability have displaced more than one million people across the country, with over 3,000 individuals killed and over 9,000 injured. Thousands have been killed or injured, entire communities have been uprooted, and hundreds of collective shelters remain overcrowded as families struggle to find safety. Despite the ceasefire announced in April, attacks and displacement continue, especially across southern Lebanon, resulting in continued displacement. 632 Collective Sites have been set up to house 129,000 displaced with the majority residing outside in shared accommodation and tents.

Acted’s Response: Providing Life-Saving Assistance

In the middle of this crisis, Acted has been on the ground every single day.

Working across Beirut, Mount Lebanon, the South, and beyond, Acted has delivered emergency support to thousands of displaced people through an integrated, area-based response built around dignity, coordination, and immediate action.

So far, Acted is

  • Supporting more than 53,000 people through emergency WASH and water system assistance
  •  Upgrading and partitioning 32 Collective Sites for over 11,400 displaced individuals
  • Distributing core relief items and hygiene kits to 7,500 people
  • Supporting 20,500 people through community-led social stability initiatives
  • Assisting smallholder farmers, community kitchens, displaced families, and local businesses struggling to survive the crisis
  • Creating short-term employment opportunities for nearly 1,900 individuals through cash-for-work activities

But the needs continue to grow.

Collective Sites remain overcrowded. Water systems are under immense strain. Families continue to experience repeated displacement. Humanitarian funding gaps are putting critical services at risk, including access to safe water, shelter, healthcare, and food assistance.

Your support can help Acted continue delivering:

  • Clean water and sanitation
  • Emergency shelter upgrades
  • Food assistance and community kitchens
  • Mattresses, blankets, and hygiene kits
  • Support for farmers and vulnerable livelihoods
  • Cash-for-work and recovery opportunities for affected communities

Lebanon’s crisis is no longer temporary. For many families, displacement has become a daily reality.

Together, we can help restore dignity, safety, and hope.
