Funded by the Agence d'Urbanisme et de Développement Pays de Saint-Omer, this project seeks to improve access to clean drinking water and promote hygiene practices among households in the village of Lokitonyala, where communities are increasingly affected by climate change. By establishing a functional water supply system, the initiative will significantly reduce the distance residents must travel to fetch water for both personal and livestock use. Around 400 households, representing approximately 2,400 people, will gain reliable access to safe drinking water, while about 500 livestock will benefit from a dedicated watering point. To ensure the sustainability of the infrastructure, 13 members of the local Water Management Committee, including two trained technicians, will receive training on the proper use and maintenance of the boreholes.
