With the proposed intervention in 2024, Acted intends to ensure the sustainability of the Asset Creation and Livelihoods (ACL) activities implemented during the past three years through the finalization of community access roads, capacity building, and market linkages targeting a total of 1,135 individuals in Jur River.
The project’s primary focus will be on strengthening the sustainability of these achievements. This will involve enhancing the capacity of local communities to independently manage and maintain the infrastructure and systems established, such as the feeder roads, solar driers, local stores, and shallow wells.
Training and support will be provided to ensure that the VSLA groups and farmer associations can continue to function effectively without external assistance. Emphasis will also be placed on developing stronger local leadership and governance structures to oversee these initiatives, ensuring that they remain beneficial to the community in the long term.
