ACTED going green: mobilize
Mobilize the staff, partners, suppliers, donors and the humanitarian ecosystem
This pillar aims at anchoring the green agenda inside the organisation, across all departments by encouraging ACTED staff to adapt and change their behaviour. This is achieved through trainings and awareness raising sessions and through the increasing environmental sustainability of our programmes and operations, and the rapid reduction of our greenhouse gas emissions.
ACTED will also work with its partners to ensure corporate commitment towards sound environmental management, mobilizing them to join the 3Zero Global Alliance and sign the 3Zero Charter and engaging with them to reduce indirect carbon emission through awareness raising campaign.

The Climate and Environment Charter for Humanitarian Organisations
In 2021, ACTED signed the Climate and Environment Charter for Humanitarian Organisations, standing together with other local, national and international humanitarian organisations and commit to step up our action to reduce risks and help people adapt to the growing impacts of the climate and environmental crises, maximize the environmental sustainability of our programmes and operations, and rapidly reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and use our influence to mobilise urgent and more ambitious climate action and environmental protection among others.
