Acted Global Sustainable development

ACTED’s 2020 SDG Impact Report

In 2020, ACTED implemented 505 projects in 38 countries around the world, reaching more than 20 million people with assistance.

In line with our 2020-2025 programme strategy, all of the projects implemented by ACTED globally seek to work towards a 3Zero world:

Zero Exclusion (because nobody should be left behind), Zero Carbon (because we only have one planet) and Zero Poverty (because poverty should not hold back potential)

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) establish the framework for ACTED’s 3Zero strategy, recognizing that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that reduce inequality and injustice and spur inclusive, low-carbon economic growth – all while tackling climate change and the deepening environmental crisis.

In order to better understand the impact of ACTED’s work around the world, and the contributions made by our teams on the ground towards the SDGs, ACTED’s independent Appraisal, Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit (AMEU) collects and analyses data on every ACTED project, each year, measuring our progress against 26 standardised indicators, which are aligned to the SDGs. In this way, we can better understand the impact that our programming has on the communities that we serve, and can identify areas where we need to strengthen our focus to achieve the targets of the Goals.

The ACTED 2020 SDG Impact Report presents ACTED’s contributions towards the SDGs in 2020.
