Philippines Sustainable Infrastructure
November 2024
August 2025

This 9 month project aims to support communities affected by Typhoon Odette to improve their climate resilience through WASH recovery and rehabilitation. Targeting Surigao del Norte province, firstly local and regional WASH governance structures will be strengthened to integrate climate resilient WASH in relevant development plans (LCCAP, DRRM-H, LCP, iWASH). Secondly, four climate vulnerable municipalities will have increased access to climate-resilient, basic sanitation facilities including the piloting of innovative solutions and the rolling out of a sanitation subsidy programme to 100 households. 8 target schools will be supported to achieve 1 star status and integrate climate adaptive WASH solutions.
