Since the start of the Sudanese conflict in April 2023, according to the UNHCR situation report of 24 May 2024, 599,840 Sudanese refugees have arrived in Chad.

With the support of UNICED and as a CCCM* and WASH** actor on the Adré refugee site, Acted is proposing a 13-month intervention to support the response against epidemic risks linked to waterborne diseases (in particular hepatitis E). This intervention will target two main activities, namely the emptying of latrines and the decommissioning of non-functional latrines.
