January 2025
December 2025

This 12 month project seeks to strengthen social cohesion and peaceful coexistence in areas that have experienced large influx of refugees through implementation of Social Cohesion projects based on a participatory needs-based approach. A participatory assessment will be conducted through around 30 focus group discussions and 40 key informant interviews with vulnerable groups, including young adults, persons with disabilities, women, elderly. Acted will implement 9 Social Cohesion projects in the west and east of Libya, with priority locations including Greater Tripoli, Kufra, Misrata, Greater Benghazi, West Mountain, Ajdabiya. The project is estimated to benefit 13,500 persons. Acted will review the projects environmental footprint by implementing the Environmental Stewardship Tool (EST), with Tier 1 implementation for all Social Cohesion projects and a more comprehensive application of the tool (Tier 3) for 3 projects.
