Assemblée des Départements de France

As key partners, French departments are supporting ACTED’s missions worldwide towards the most vulnerable people as well as towards local authorities and actors, through emergency interventions and development programmes.

Thus, the Conseil départemental des Hauts-de-Seine, Yvelines and Essonne gathered their means to support the populations affected by hurricane Matthew in Haiti, with a commitment to support food security for the populations of Dame-Marie. More recently, the Département de l’Essone participated in a food security project in Douenza in Mali.

In order to strengthen this partnership, ACTED signed on the 18th of July 2018 with the Assemblée des Départements de France (ADF) an memorandum of understanding defining the practical modalities of this partnership. ACTED and the ADF commit to have regular contacts through working groups or with the distribution of communication material, while exchanging views and experience on current events, sharing intelligence and considering common actions.
