This 24-month project in Thi-Qar Governorate focuses on reducing climate-induced risks through an Area-Based Approach to Disaster Risk Reduction and climate-smart assistance to the at-risk farming population. Local actors relevant to DRR will be mobilized in the area, utilizing an Area-Based Risk Assessment (ABRA) for in-depth agricultural climate risk analysis, informing stakeholders for immediate and sustainable strategies and build community resilience towards climate risks. In parallel, Acted will provide immediate assistance to the at-risk farming population to mitigate immediate livelihood threats.
