1Planet4All Climate camp

Young people from all over the world have become one of the main drivers of climate action, but the mobilization is far from over. This is why ACTED is implementing in France the European project 1Planet4All, funded by the European Union, and focused on raising awareness and mobilising of young people (15-35 years old) on climate change, in line with its Zero Carbon, Zero Poverty, Zero Exclusion strategy.

Among the project’s activities, we are pleased to announce the organisation of a climate camp. This event will take place on the weekend of 17 and 18 December 2022, in Bordeaux, at Darwin, a committed venue that hosts, among others, the Climax Festival every year.

The climate camp intends to be a space of exchange for young people aged 15 to 35 already involved in this issue (particularly members of environmental associations), and it aims above all to give them tools and concrete guidelines to strengthen their actions.

The programme will focus on participatory sessions, such as workshops or playful animations, to explore themes such as: how to mobilize your environmental group, attract the attention of citizens, or think of alternatives to our current system. Facilitators from committed environmental associations such as the Fresque Océane, Jeu du Système and MakeSense (the list is non-exhaustive)

will lead sessions throughout the weekend. A screening of a new film, following the journey of a young Austrian activist through Europe, is also planned! The full programme will soon be available on this page and on our social networks 1Planet4All (on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter).

We would like to give the opportunity to committed young people from all over France to participate in the event, and applications are now open! Young people already actively involved in environmental issues (especially through an association), who are available on the weekend of 17-18 December, and who would like to exchange ideas in a friendly atmosphere on the different ways of advancing environmental and social issues, are encouraged to register to participate in our gathering.

As the number of places is limited, we ask interested young people to share some information about their background and motivation in the form below, by 11/12 at the latest:

Within the framework of the project, ACTED will also cover the travel and accommodation costs of the selected participants who are not based in Bordeaux.

More information on the full programme and the speakers will be coming soon!
