Conseil Départemental de l’Essonne

For several years now, the Conseil départemental de l’Essonne has been carrying out actions beyond its borders to contribute to a more balanced social and economic global development. In 2013, following a diagnosis of the opening up of the territory to international trade, the Departmental Council adopted new guidelines for its international action.

With these new orientations, the Essonne County Council aims to connect local and global issues and to think about its local development in the light of interdependencies at European and global level. The Department's international action aims to provide answers to local problems, to develop public performance by analysing its public policies in the light of various experiences and to support the internationalization of the territory in all its components by mobilizing citizens, actors and local expertise.

This international action is based on institutional cooperation with Mali and China and support for Essonian project leaders.
