Afghanistan Humanitarian Action
August 2022
February 2024

This 18-months Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)-funded project (15/08/2022 – 15/02/2024) will be implemented in the Baghlan and Sar-e-Pul provinces (Afghanistan). It aims at improving local food security by restoring crops production for targeted smallholders farmers through providing wheat cultivation packages and technical trainings to 11,000 households, and nutrition-sensitive home-gardening and vegetable cultivation kits and training to 8,099 households. In addition, ACTED will develop a community-based drought Early Warning System to lower the level of vulnerability within the targeted areas by allowing livestock keepers and famers to anticipate and prepare themselves to face such climate risk.
