Lebanon Sustainable Infrastructure
January 2021
January 2024

The overall objective of this 36 month action is to strengthen the capacity of water governance actors - public institutions and civil society to deliver sustainable services to local host and refugee communities in Lebanon. This Action will directly target a total of 147,805 individuals across Lebanon, namely South, Bekaa, North and Beirut and Mount Lebanon through three specific outcomes: a) Water Establishments (WEs) are enabled to provide water and wastewater services efficiently and equitably in targeted localities; b) Civil society and local authorities increasingly participate in sector governance and hold mandated institutions accountable; c) Refugee protection space is improved as a result of the reduced environmental impact of wastewater from Informal Tented Settlements and improved communication on the external support to Lebanese water services related to Refugee crisis response.
