Nigeria
January 2021
December 2021

Under the WFP-funded emergency response program 'Unconditional Food Assistance and Nutrition Assistance in Northeast Nigeria' designed to provide life-saving food assistance, ACTED will deliver life-saving food assistance and nutritional support to meet the essential food security and nutrition needs of vulnerable and conflict-affected families; through General Food Distributions (GFD) to IDPs and host communities in Monguno, using a (Cash Based Transfer –CBT) modality; and through a Blanket Supplementary Feeding Programme (BSFP) for PLWG (Pregnant and Lactating Women and Girls) and Children Under 5years old (U5) in Monguno. The project will run for the period of 01 January 2021 - 31 December 2021, and is the continuation of similar emergency food security intervention projects that started in April 2018, with the overall objective to save lives, reduce severe food insecurity, and ensure the most vulnerable conflict-affected households have access to food assistance which meets the minimum nutritional requirements in compliance with international standards.
