The Emergency Response Mechanism in Afghanistan (ERM 10)

Afghanistan Humanitarian Action
May 2020
December 2020

Through a DRC-led ERM consortium comprised of DRC, IRC, ACTED and REACH, this project will respond to the most urgent life-saving needs of, conflict and natural disaster, shock-affected households across 31 provinces in Afghanistan. The Consortium will support 14,980 vulnerable, shock affected HHs through the provision of multi-purpose cash assistance (MPCA), targeting those that have been displaced within a three-month period. The assistance will be provided in the form of a minimum expenditure basket, and top up cash for winterization. Data collected will be analyzed by REACH, with monthly and annual factsheets produced as well as updating an Interactive Dashboard.
