Supporting sustainability of response and community resilience in Volnovakha raion, Eastern Ukraine

Using an area-based approach, this 12-month project in Olhynska, Volnovahka and Myrnenska prospective hromadas in Volnovakha raion (Donetsk Oblast, eastern Ukraine) aims to contribute to preparing an effective and sustainable humanitarian exit from Government Controlled Area (GCA) through targeted activities in Protection, WASH and CCS Clusters. Implemented by an ACTED-led Consortium and benefitting 34,630 people (incl. 1,822 IDPs), the intervention will focus on strengthening local actors’ i) access to quality social/administrative services, ii) preparedness/response planning and encourage ownership of the response process, and iii) capacities to implement humanitarian response and access to safe water and sanitation.
