Supporting recovery efforts in Syria at household and community levels through multi-sectoral assistance

Syria Sustainable Infrastructure
January 2023
March 2024

This 15-month project provides livelihoods, WASH, and governance support to vulnerable communities in Syria. The intervention follows a resilience-based approach, building on initial humanitarian assistance to gradually reduce conflict-affected populations’ reliance on emergency support. Under this project, through an area-based approach, ACTED works toward restoring sustainable livelihoods for 130,000 persons in Syria, and increasing their access to basic services through asset rehabilitation. ACTED enhances the capacity of local institutions and civil society to sustain recovery efforts, reaching an additional 240,000 persons. In Central and South Syria, 107,500 individuals will benefit from activities implemented by local partners.
