5.2 million people are in need across Somalia, far above the 2019 people in need figure of 4.2 million. This cash-based intervention aims to build towards and complement a Somali safety net and to improve the ability of Somali households to meet their base needs during crises. This action will target most vulnerable households hit by crisis in Bay, Gedo, Lower Juba, Woqooyi Galbed, Sool, Sanaag, Nugaal, Banadir, Bakool and Lower Shabelle regions in Somalia, through unconditional cash to 3,000 beneficiaries.
