The 20-month project aims at supporting 8,500 highly vulnerable individuals in Kurmuk and Damazine North localities of Blue Nile state to strengthen their food security, nutritional well-being and resilience to future shocks and crises.

To achieve this objective, ACTED will restore livelihood opportunities and food autonomy in Kurmuk through cash-based assistance to vulnerable households and micros, small and medium agricultural enterprises. In Damazine North, ACTED will improve the nutritional status of vulnerable households through monthly distribution of in-kind food, trainings on prevention and management of malnutrition, and set up of cooking demonstrations and kitchen gardens.
