Ukraine Stability and Justice
July 2021
June 2022

This 12-month project implemented with IMPACT and R2P will aim to reduce the vulnerability of conflict affected populations in eastern Ukraine to the risks posed by flooded mines across both side of the Line of Contact (LoC). Fitting into the 3P Consortium’s larger DRR programming framework, the intervention will seek to

i)develop a better understanding of risks pertaining to the flooding of coal mines in eastern Ukraine, as well as

ii)implement a pilot project as a DRR showcase of local disaster risk mitigation. The main activities will include water and soil testing, land subsidence risk mapping, small risk reduction structural measures, cross-LoC dialogues series, and a conference at national level.
