Strengthen the resilience and nutritional well-being of the communities of Amudat and Nakapiripirit

Uganda Inclusive Economic Opportunities
June 2022
May 2023

In response to the troubling food security situation in Karamoja, ACTED and Food for the Hungry (FH) will support 1,584 highly vulnerable HHs (an estimated number of 9,504 individuals) in Nakapiripirit and Amudat districts with an integrated, layered approach, which will enable target families to meet immediate food and nutrition needs while simultaneously building families and communities' resilience to future food security shocks. The 12-month action aims to i) strengthen and improve the food security; and ii) to enhance prevention of stunting and undernutrition and increase access to appropriate treatment of malnutrition on the first 1,000 days of life.
