The project to strengthen disaster preparedness through the establishment of a rapid assessment capacity and multi-hazard analysis has an expected duration of 9 months. It aims to ensure the awareness and preparedness of all humanitarian actors for the process and a disaster information management system in Haiti, as well as to improve the awareness of humanitarian and local actors of natural hazards commonly encountered in the region. REACH: In coordination with OCHA, IOM, DPC and other involved actors, will ensure that certain preparatory measures are put in place to allow for a rapid and efficient triggering of the planned assessment methodology. The objective being that in the event of a disaster, information sharing is efficient, timely and of high quality with the humanitarian community.
