October 2020

Faced with the risks of propagation of the COVID-19 virus in the South-East, this 3-month project financed by the SUEZ Foundation aims to support the efforts of the health authorities in the fight against the spread of the COVID-19 virus through a Drinking Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (DWSH) intervention in the commune of Thiotte. Thus, ACTED plans to sensitize 2,000 people on the barrier gestures and symptoms of COVID-19, to train 50 public providers or members of the civil society in the prevention of the virus, to install 50 hand washing points and to improve access to essential products against the spread of the virus notably through the training of 30 women in mask making and entrepreneurship.
