The project will target 38,669 pupils (estimated headcount across 27 schools). School Feeding (SF) will contribute to both education and food security objectives. ACTED will distribute in-kind food for meal preparations (lunch) and will train the school cooks to use food preparation methods which preserve nutrients and enhance food safety. ACTED will also continue school gardening component to not only improve nutrition of the pupils but also promote social skills and behavior change by connecting students to the natural environment, and provide teachers with opportunities to enhance student education through practical learning.
