Response to support the management of fixed and informal sites and access to water, hygiene and sanitation for displaced persons in the sub-prefectures of Ippy and Birao

Humanitarian Action
April 2022
January 2023

This 10-month project aims to provide an emergency response in the form of a traditional CCCM in IDP sites in Birao (Vakaga) and Ippy (Ouaka) and a mobile CCCM on the axes around these sub-prefectures. The mobile CCCM will respond to emergencies and displacements through an early warning system based on community mechanisms. The response in Ippy will be coupled with a water, hygiene and sanitation component with the construction of emergency latrines and showers, the establishment of an emergency water distribution system, and the construction of water points. The response will be directed at 699 displaced households in Birao and 1959 displaced households in Ippy in CCCM. The displaced population in Ippy will be supported with WASH. The mobile CCCM will provide emergency assistance in NFI kits for 200 households (1200 people)
