During this 12-month project in Eastern Ukraine, ACTED aims to reduce food insecurity among conflict-affected populations, focusing specifically on settlements within 5km of the Line of Contact. ACTED will provide assistance in particularly vulnerable winter months when food insecurity levels are highest and spring recovery months when household resources are depleted. In settlements with access to functional markets, ACTED will provide unconditional cash transfers to 6,500 individuals at the value of 825UAH/person/month in 2 distributions: 5 months of assistance in winter to 4,100 individuals (2 tranches) and 3 months of assistance in spring to 2,400 individuals (1 tranche).
