Ukraine Emergencies and disaster resilience
May 2019
October 2020

This 18-month project in Eastern Ukraine aims to improve understanding of, and promote and take measures towards preparedness to industrial/ecological risks (including those exacerbated by the conflict) in government controlled areas along the Line of Contact. Implemented by an ACTED-led consortium (including IMPACT) and benefitting 15,150 individuals and 45 organizations, the intervention focuses on reducing vulnerability to risk. With the aim to promote sound disaster risk management in Ukraine, the intervention will also include mitigation/response plans, community emergency plans, live simulations, trainings, national level events, and recommendations for national stakeholders as key outputs, indirectly benefitting 150,000 individuals.
