Niger Humanitarian Action
December 2022
March 2023

This is a 3-month emergency intervention that responds to needs identified in Diffa following the displacement of populations from the village of Gueskérou to the site called Djalori due to flooding. The objective is to target 351 of the displaced households from the villages of Zeinam-Tehellouri and Téguéssa not yet assisted in the targeted site of Djalori, in coordination with other response actors. Activities will include the rehabilitation of at least 3 water points to meet the needs for potable water. In addition, ACTED will target 351 households (2,457 people) to receive an EHA hygiene kit and 702 women and girls to receive intimate hygiene kits. The needs for emergency food and ANSF will be covered by cash distributions. If cash transfers are not possible, depending on the results of the market analysis to be conducted during the MSA, then ACTED will coordinate with other humanitarian actors present in the area of intervention so that they can cover the needs for emergency food and NFI in inkind while ACTED will cover the need for emergency shelter in inkind.
