Providing WASH & CCCM support to conflict-affected populations in Syria

Syria Emergency Response
September 2019
February 2021

The objective of this 18-month proposed intervention is to address the critical needs of vulnerable conflict-affected populations of Syria, through a multi-sectoral approach, with a primary focus on populations in camp. ACTED will continue to ensure access to basic WASH services for all camp residents (i.e. 161,511 individuals) as well as tent insulation kits intended to improve their shelter adequacy during the winter. Additionally, ACTED will integrate a contingency capacity to adequately respond to the WASH needs in the event of an increase in camp population covering 2,000 additional households. ACTED will become the main provider of basic WASH services in one camp. Finally, ACTED will provide temporary income-generating opportunities for the most vulnerable households residing in one camp to the benefit of the wider camp community.
