This 12-month project aims to promote the rights of women by providing protection to victims of violence and supporting their economic independence. The project will be implemented in three regions of Uzbekistan and will directly support a total of 600 women at risk or survivors of violence, while over 940,000 women living in the target regions will benefit from improved access to support services. In the Samarkand and Bukhara region, direct beneficiaries will access safe shelters and consultations, and in Samarkand, Bukhara and Fergana regions, they will participate in a reintegration programme, and receive business support through consultations and Small Grants provided by the Action.
